When we checked in on Friday we just walked around the resort,had lunch, and then it started raining so we went to our room to relax and watch some tv. At around 8 we got really hungry so we went out to eat. We went to a place a few street light from the resort called Antojitos and the food was out of this world! I had some fried fish with tostones and rice and beans, Guillo had some carne frita with the same sides. For desert we had custard! The place had a breakfast brunch so we decided to go eat there the next day.
On Saturday we drove around the rain forest and decided the different places we wanted to go again to take pictures, then we went to the beach and it started raining on us, so we had to run, but then we had some really good food that the grandmother of a friend made, it was delicious filled rice with 7 stories salad. Saturday night we went to the resort restaurant, Tempo, where we had Italian food, we ordered Linguine a la amarticiana, which was delicious but we ordered some drink which turned out to be $9 each! for desert we had a Cassatta siciliana which was like a pound cake filled with ricotta cheese covered in chocolate, it was heavenly!
Then yesterday we went around the resort taking pictures, we enjoyed our complimentary Sangria! After checking out we went to the rain forest to walk around, drive around, take some fresh air and take pictures. the day was lovely and I even got a little bit sun burnt (yay!) coming down from the mountain we stopped to get some lunch at Heidelberg haus a German restaurant. The food was delicious! We both had some German beer and schnitzel sandwiches, mine was with pork and Guillo's was with chicken. Then we headed home and went to visit some friends.
It was an amazing weekend that we got to relax and spend time together.
